T<\/span>he ASDMA bulletin reported that the Assam flood situation<\/strong><\/span><\/a> has seen an improvement as the number of affected individuals decreased to below 2.5 lakh on Saturday, however, one more death was recorded, bringing the total death toll to 17. The Brahmaputra river is still flowing above the danger level in several places.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assam Floods: Improvement in Situation Despite Tragic Loss of Life\u201d<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

18 districts are still affected by the floods, with a total of 2,42,515 people currently affected. Nalbari has been the worst-hit district, with 72,427 people suffering from the deluge, followed by Darrang with 69,112. On Friday, 3,24,938 people were affected in 18 districts. 2,169 individuals are taking refuge in seven camps and 43 relief distribution centres are operational.<\/span><\/p>\n

15,670.85 hectares of crops have been inundated and 1,61,758 animals and poultry have also been affected. Additionally, one embankment has been breached in Udalguri district and two have been damaged in Darrang. Roads, schools, Anganwadi centres, electric poles, and other infrastructure have been either inundated or damaged. Erosion has also been reported from Dhubri, Kamrup, Kokrajhar, Nalbari, South Salmara, and Tinsukia.<\/span><\/p>\n
