Formation of a Separate Executive Committee (EC):** The proposal calls for the creation of an Executive Committee dedicated solely to hill districts. This committee would be chaired by the senior-most Secretary of the Hills Area Department, with the Principal Secretaries of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council serving as member secretaries. This structured leadership aims to streamline decision-making processes regarding the implementation of development projects in these regions.
District-Level Leadership Structure:** At the district level, the Secretary in charge of Rural Development, along with the concerned District Council, is proposed to serve as the Chairman. Moreover, heads of departments under the district councils would be included as members of this committee.
